Leaf it to Kristen...

Painting Leaves
We love to do crafts with Magnolia leaves.  Not only are they everywhere here in our Southern Landscape but they are also a hearty leaf that will stick around for years to come.
They other day I had a small class where we painted and gold leafed some leaves....  The result was simple, modern, and lovely.
We have found that acrylic paint works best.  We also added touches of gold leaf and glitter to give them a little bit of sparkle.

  2. Ooh, I love this idea... and I don't even have kids!! I can imagine painting a whole heap in complimentary colours with a bit of metallic sheen, then stringing them together to create a garland, wreath or some 'bunting' for a party or event. Thanks for sharing!
